Daighila
(2001 – present)
Daighila is a four-piece emoviolence outfit from Malaysia. They took the foundation laid by the kind of bands that ruled Europe in the mid 90’s, like Fingerprint and Anomie, and added in metal-driven guitar riffs and combustible drum beats along with screeching vocals. They play what some people might call “screamo,” but which is really a blend of everything you’d find in a hardcore-punk record shop.
